1)  Fake originally they were called the Atlantics.  They’ve also been called the Bridegrooms, Grooms, Superbas, Trolley Dodgers, and the Robins…until they changed their name in the 1930’s to Dodgers.

2)  Fact.  They played in New York for 74 years from 1883 to 1957.  They’ve only played 59 years in L.A.

3)  Fake…while both the Dodgers and Mets are in the National League and can’t play each other for the World Series title, the Dodgers and Yankee’s have faced off 4 times, with the Dodgers winning in 1963 and 1981,  …and the Yankees winning in 1978 and 1979.

4)  Fake…they’ve retired 10 numbers, including those of Don Drysdale, Don Sutton, Sandy Koufax, and Tommy Lasorda.
