CBS and Viacomm are merging…again.  The two were a thing back in 2000.

1)  Fact…the Columbia Phonographic Broadcasting System, as the future owner of Columbia Records purchased the United Independent Broadcasters in April of 1927 and went on the air as CPBS in September of 1927.

2)  Fake…he started at NBC in 1932, but switched over to CBS in 1949.

3)  Fact…in 1940 by W2XAB in New York City.  The issue was there were no color TVs to accept it.

4)  Fact…from 1964 to 1973, CBS owned 80% of the team.  During their first season as owners, the Yankees had their first losing season in 40 years  They sold to George Steinbrenner in ’73 for $8.3 million.  CBS had purchased it for just over $11.
