Office Worker Turns Office Cubicle into Life-Size Gingerbread House!

Monika Orrey’s work place had a Christmas decorating competition and she was more than up to the challenge.

She shocked her colleagues by spending eight hours constructing a gingerbread house, complete with giant candy canes and fake snow. She built the sides and roof of the house by herself by using duct tape and cardboard that she later covered with brown craft paper.

“I consider myself very festive, or as my daughter would say, I am ‘extra’!” said Orrey. “I do indeed have far too many decorations at home according to my family but I know they love it.”

As for decorating her cubicle, she said she wanted to do something “big” and incorporate her “well-known sweet tooth.”  So the gingerbread house was perfect!

Some of her co-workers also brought their children to see her creative decorations.  She considers that the real reason her decorations passed the test.  “Mission accomplished.” she said.
