A passenger who had no flight experience was able to land his own plane after his pilot suffered a medical emergency.
The Air Traffic Controller named Morgan who assisted the passenger was on a break when the passenger called for help with the situation. Morgan thankfully was also a certified flight instructor.
After communicating with the passenger Morgan learned that he was never flown a plane before but he had been around other pilots while flying. So the experience was not entirely new, but he had never piloted the plane himself.
Morgan decided he was going to have to have the passenger land the plane at one of the busiest airports in the area.
Together they were able to land the plane safely, that sort of touch style landing is something that would normally take 20 hours to learn.
Morgan rated the passengers landing a 10 out of 10. While both men are considered hero’s for what they accomplished, Morgan said his new student was the true hero!
