A family cat that went missing 8 months ago was reunited with his family because of his unique meow. The woman who owned the missing cat heard the unique meow while on a phone call to her vet.
Rachael Lawrence had been on the phone to Vets4Pets regarding another cat, Torvi, who had recently had an operation when she heard a meow in the background.
The mom of three instantly knew the meow and asked about it, but was told the call belonged to a stray cat that had been brought in a week ago.
After she hung up Rachael couldn’t stop thinking about the meow she heard and wondered if it could be her beloved cat Barnaby, who had gone missing 8 months prior.
Rachael ended the call but couldn’t stop thinking about the meow and wondered if it could have belonged to her cat, Barnaby, who had gone missing eight months ago.
Barnaby had more than a unique meow he also had a distinctive white patch of fur on his back foot. He was an all black cat so she knew it would stand out. She called the vet back and described his marking and they were a match! She then sent over a photo and it was confirmed that her missing cat Barnaby was indeed the cat she heard at the vet!
After a tearful reunion Rachael, Barnaby is safe and well, and the family cat is back home and enjoying lots of attention so he can return to his healthy previous self.
