86-year-old Splits Lottery Prize With the Cashier Who Sold Her the Ticket

Marion Forrest an 86 year old woman who stops by Dukes Mini Mart, was not planning on buying a lottery ticket last Wednesday.  The cashier at the mini mart told her the jackpot was up to $500, 000 and it may be worth it to buy a ticket.

Marion decided to buy a tickets and promised Walter, the cashier if she won she would split the winning with her.

While she didn’t win the jackpot but she still won a $300 prize and decided to keep her word by splitting her wining with Walter like she promised. She surprised him by coming to the store with an envelope that held $150 and carrying balloons that had his name on them.

Walter was so touched and surprised at Marion’s gesture. “He is the sweetest guy in the world,” she said. The few people in the store were cheering as Marion gave Walter a big hug and thanked him again.
