Nurses Crochet Olympics Gear for Babies Born During theTokyo Games

The nurses at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, have really gotten into the Olympic spirit this year! They decided to start crocheting medals and athlete-inspired attire for babies born during the Tokyo Olympics,  How sweet is that?

These adorable outfits are inspired by swimming, weightlifting, tennis, gymnastics, basketball and more, and look so cute on these newborn babies!

The nurses said that they wanted to do this last year before the olympics were canceled due to the pandemic. They felt is was a great way to add joy to the families of these newborns during a difficult time. They are glad they held onto the idea and decided to resume crocheting for the re-scheduled games.

The parents get to participate too! One of the nurses crocheted 20 gold medals and said that the Mommy’s and Daddy’s will get to take part in the exciting assembly of babies dressed in their athletic best.
