Terri’s Top 5 Binge Worthy Shows – 5/15 – 5/17/20

There aren’t a whole lot of new things coming out this weekend, but I am in the mood for something fun, frivolous, and something to take me away from reality for awhile.  Here are a few of this things I recommend to watch and enjoy!  Please pass the popcorn! – Terri

Hollywood – Netflix – 7 episode mini-series

Everyone thought they could be a Hollywood star back in 1947.  That’s where this series is set and it’s full of drama, humor and everything in between.  Ryan Murphy of “Glee” fame , is the creator of this juicy show!

Downton Abbey the Movie – HBO

The beloved Crawleys and their intrepid staff prepare for the most important moment of their lives. A royal visit from the king and queen of England soon unleashes scandal, romance and intrigue — leaving the future of Downton hanging in the balance. (2019)

Mission Impossible “Fallout” – epix

The “Mission Impossible” movies have become classics.  This one is my favorite of them all, smart, sexy and action packed with a stellar cast , including Tom Cruise who defies the enemy and age at every turn.  This one had me holding my breath until the very end.

“Crazy, Rich, Asians” – HBO

This rom-com adaptation of the international bestseller was a massive box office and critical hit. It is one of my favorites and Constance Wu stars as Rachel Chu, a New York professor who accompanies her boyfriend Nick (Henry Golding) to Singapore to meet his family for the first time. Turns out, however, he’s Singapore’s most eligible bachelor, and his family is one of the wealthiest in the country.

“BookSmart” – Amazon Prime and Hulu

Amy (Kaitlyn Dever) and Molly (Beanie Feldstein) worked really hard in school, avoided parties, and got into the Ivy League colleges they wanted to attend. Unfortunately, it turns out everyone else who did party and drink throughout high school also got in where they wanted to go.  Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut is a refreshing take on the teen comedy. I saw this is the theater with my daughter and we both love it!
