Terri’s Top 5 – Weekend of 5/1 – 5/3/20

With “social distancing” being our new normal, I thought why not head back to a kinder gentler, and funnier time for this weekend’s “Bingworthy” choices.  Most of these movies are available starting today!  Pass the popcorn please! – Terri

Available May 1 on Netflix: “Back to the Future”

Host an at-home movie marathon when the first two films join the third installment on Netflix this month.   Doc Brown and Marty McFly are still one of my favorite movie duos.

Available May 1 on Netflix: “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective”

Jim Carrey is at his silliest in this ’90s comedy about a detective on the case of a missing NFL mascot.  Just to laugh.  Jim Carrey at his hilarious best!

 Alrighty then.

Available May 1 on Disney+: “The Princess Bride”

Rob Reiner’s iconic fantasy tale about a farm boy-turned-pirate reuniting with his true love, is a family-friendly film worth a re-watch.  Princess Buttercup –Robin Wright, my favorite though is Mandy Patinkin .

Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”

Available May 1 on Netflix: “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory”

Both the original film and the 2005 remake, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” arrive on May 1 to satisfy your sweet tooth.  Gene Wilders amazing performance makes the original a classic!   Grab your snozzberries” and enjoy.

Say Anything…(1989)

Do you know what you should be currently doing with? your eyes right now? Watching Say Anything… since it’s currently streaming on Hulu. This teen romantic comedy/drama is about a smart girl named Diane, played by Ione Skye, and a not so smart boy named Lloyd, played by John Cusack, who fall in love after graduation even though Lloyd has no real plans for the future and Diane is going places.
