Aqua Velva Ice Blue.  Old Spice.  English Leather with the wooden cap.  Brut.  Stetson.

1)  It’s called cologne because it originated in Cologne, Germany?

2)  The best place for a man to wear cologne is on his bicep?

3)  The most expensive bottle of cologne costs more than a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, which tops out around $4.5 million?

4)  The first bottle of Polo cologne went on sale in 1978.

1)  Fact…officially known as Eau de Cologne, or water from cologne, it was originally mixed by an Italian perfume maker there in 1709.

2)  Fact.  According to the experts, it is.  For a cologne to work best, it should be where the skin is the warmest, and since we are constantly using our arms and they are on the upper part of our bodies closest to other people’s noses, that’s where you should apply.

3)  Fake…it’s about a tenth of the cost at $435,000.  But, it comes in a 17-ounce bottle with a 5-carat diamond and an 18-carat gold piece around the neck.

4)  Fact…Ralph Lauren started his business in 1967 selling ties, then clothing, then released both Lauren for women and Polo for men simultaneously in 1978 at Bloomingdale’s.
