Elmer’s glue has 6 calories per teaspoon.  Krazy Glue came out in 1971.  Remember the guy hanging from a beam with his hard hat?

1)  The symbol of Elmer’s Glue is a bull?

2)  Elmer’s School Glue with the orange cap debuted on Sesame Street?

3)  The first Elmer’s containers were glass?

4)  Only the hooves of horses are used in the making of glue?

1)  Fact…he was the spouse of parent company Borden’s spokescow Elsie.  It was originally known as Cascorez glue.

2)  Fake…it came out in 1967, 2 years before Sesame Street premiered.  The glue with the orange cap is a registered trademark and it was first used in the early 50’s.

3)  Fact…and the came with a popsicle stick on the outside, held there by a rubber band.

4)  Fake…in the old days, lots of parts of animals were used, dating back over 8000 years.  But today, Elmer’s glues are made synthetically using no animal parts.
