Doris Day – 5/15/19

Doris Day passed away this week at the age of 97.  She was known as America’s Sweetheart and was known for her singing and acting and her love of animals.


She recorded more than 650 songs in her lifetime.

She once dated Elvis Presley.

She was offered the role of Mrs. Robinson in the Graduate with Dustin Hoffman.

She released her last album when she was in her 80’s.


Fact – It makes her one of the most popular and acclaimed singer’s of the 20th Century.

Fake – She did date Ronald Reagan.

Fact – She turned it down because she thought the script was too vulgar and offensive.

Fact – The album was entitled “My Heart” and was released when she was 89 years old.  It was a collection of previously unreleased music.
