Loretta Lynn’s birthday celebration was this week with a star-studded party.  Keith Urban popped out of a cake per Loretta’s request.

4)  Sissy Spacek’s version of Coal Miner’s Daughter was nominated for a Best Country Vocal Performance Grammy?

1)  Fake….her dad Ted Webb worked for the Consolidated Coal Company in east Kentucky.  He passed away in 1959, over a decade before she scored her hit Coal Miner’s Daughter.

2)  Fake…Patsy Cline was in 1973.  Loretta was inducted in 1988.

3)  Fact…her oldest daughter Betty was born when Loretta was 16, and Betty gave birth at the age of 18.

4)  Fact…and she was up against Loretta’s sister Crystal Gayle.  Neither won though, as the Grammy went to Anne Murray for Can I Have This Dance.
