Leprechauns have long been associated with St. Patrick’s Day and breakfast cereal.   They are Irish folklore characters that are 2 feet high.

 

The word Leprechaun means ‘lucky spirit.”

Leprechauns are classified as “fairies.”

Though Leprechauns almost always wear green, they originally wore blue.

There are no female Leprechauns.

Fake – It means “small body.”

Fact – They are small and prone to mischief.

Fake – They originally wore red.

Fact –   some sources claim that leprechauns are the unwanted fairies that have been tossed aside by the rest of the community. As a result, leprechauns are described as grouchy, untrusting, and solitary creatures.
