FedEx announced this week it would start using robots for some of their deliveries. FedEx is one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, providing fast and reliable delivery to every U.S. address and to more than 220 countries and territories.
FedEx was founded in 1971 and started with just 5 airplanes delivering packages.
With over 650 planes delivering packages, FedEx flies one empty plane every night.
The movie “Castaway” was based on a real FedEx employee Chuck Nolan a systems analyst at FedEx, played by Tom Hanks.
The hidden arrow in the FedEx logo between the E and the X was a happy accident that FedEx embraced after it was noticed by their art department.
