The actress who played the original Marilyn Munster, Beverly Owen passed away earlier this week at the age of 81.
Even though the first episode of ‘The Munster’s” was in color, the remaining shows were shot in black and white because the network thought it would look scarier.
Bert Lahr, who played the Cowardly Lion in “The Wizard of Oz” was offered the role of Grandpa Munster.
Despite its popularity “The Munster’s” only ran for two seasons.
Fred Gwynne who played Herman Munster was also an accomplished singer.
