Today the Girls Scouts announced they are bringing back their delicious S'mores cookies for 2018!!
[Omaha, Neb.]—In celebration of National S’mores Day and the success of their popular new cookie, Girl Scouts is announcing that the Girl Scout S’mores™ will return for the 2018 cookie season. With its spectacular debut last winter, the double-dipped, chocolatey graham became the most popular new flavor in the history of Girl Scout Cookies, selling more than 290,000 packages in Nebraska.
“We are very excited for the return of Girl Scout S’mores, which our girls and cookie customers obviously love!” said Fran Marshall, CEO, Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska. “S’mores represent another delicious and meaningful way Nebraskans can support local girls and the experiences that help them develop essential leadership skills.”
The Girl Scout Cookie Program is just one of the abundant, enriching opportunities in Girl Scouting. Girls “take the lead” as they gain invaluable life skills through participation in activities including STEM, outdoor, entrepreneurship and community service. Girl Scouts is the premier leadership organization for girls; backed by more than 100 years of experience and expertise, and with a vision toward the next century of girl-empowerment.
Girl Scouts also reminds everyone that troops are now forming across the state and volunteers are needed.
“Leading a Girl Scout troop is an immensely rewarding experience,” Marshall said. “When caring and dedicated individuals step into this important role, they make an incredible difference in the lives of girls.”
