 The Cure Baseball to Host Family Fun Day to Benefit Cancer Awareness


The Cure Baseball in conjunction with the Omaha Police Department will host a family fun day at Dockerville on Thursday June 14th to raise support and awareness for all types of cancer and in memory of Omaha Police Department Officer Dawn Pollreis, The family fun day will allow families with children of all ages to enjoy the atmosphere  surrounding the College World Series. The day will be filled with fun family activities, ballpark style food and the opportunity to give to a great cause just across the street from TD Ameritrade Park. “We are very excited to co-host this event with the Omaha Police Department. The atmosphere surrounding the College World Series is so special and we are thrilled to be a part of it,” said The Cure Baseball founder, Alex Paluka. Dockerville, located at 601 North 14th Street, Omaha, Neb., also provides guest of the family fun day with an unobstructed view of the fireworks display on Thursday evening. Admission to the event is $5.00 for Children, $10.00 for Adults and $25.00 for families. A portion of the proceeds raised from this event will benefit The Cure Baseball, Inc. and the other portion to Dawn’s family, in memory of OPD Officer Dawn Pollreis. The Cure Baseball is a nonprofit organization that strives to positively impact the lives of people and families who have been affected by cancer through a collegiate summer baseball team, specialized support groups, a scholarship fund and donations to prestigious cancer research groups.
