Band Build 2012

In the North Omaha Metro area alone, 6 out of every 10 children are living in poverty.  “Band Build 2012” is a live music showcase benefitting Habitat for Humanity of Omaha and organized by Habitat Omaha’s young professionals group.  Proceeds from the event will go toward eliminating poverty housing by building new and renovating old houses, making them available to those in need.

The second annual benefit concert, sponsored by Prudential Ambassador Real Estate and Hy-Vee, will be held Saturday, January 28th, 2012 at The Waiting Room Lounge, 6212 Maple Street, Omaha, NE from 7:30 PM to 1:00 AM.  The event will showcase live music from local bands:  Rock Paper Dynamite, Gus & Call, Great American Desert, Pancho & the Contraband and O’Connell’s Bridge.

Habitat Omaha Young Professionals’ dedicated volunteers will have raffle tickets, koozies, t-shirts, and pulled pork sandwiches available for sale with all proceeds going toward the cause.

$10 advance tickets available at all Homer’s locations or at and $12 at the door.

The mission of the Young Professionals Group is to engage young professionals to influence positive change by promoting homeownership throughout our community in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Omaha.
