Nothing gets Omaha charged up quite like the start of the Holiday Lights Festival. One of the most anticipated evenings of the season is the night holiday spirits are boosted with the annual Thanksgiving Lighting Ceremony held on Thanksgiving evening, November 24 in the Gene Leahy Mall at 14th and Farnam. The twinkling lights are sure to amaze people of all ages. Patrons will gather to hear a variety of musical performances including the Sarpy Serenaders, an all male barbershop chorus, and local favorite Tuba Christmas, beginning at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., Mayor Jim Suttle and a group of children representing ConAgra Foods Kids Cafes will lead the crowd in a countdown to the 2011 lighting display!


After the ceremony, the public is invited to shop and dine in the Old Market and attend a holiday concert at the Holland Performing Arts Center!
