WHAT: The Arthritis Walk is the Arthritis Foundation’s signature fundraising event that supports public awareness and raises funds needed to find a cure for arthritis, the nation’s most common cause of disability. This May during National Arthritis Awareness Month, Omaha residents participating in the Arthritis Walk will become part of the Let’s Move Together movement, a nationwide campaign led by the Arthritis Foundation that encourages people to move to prevent or treat arthritis. More than 400 area residents are expected to attend, with a fundraising goal of $68,000.
WHEN: Saturday May 7th, 8:30am check-in/registration, 10:00am walk kick-off

WHY: The prevalence of arthritis or chronic joint symptoms is surging, affecting nearly half a million people in Nebraska and approximately 50 million (one in three) Americans. By the year 2030, an estimated 67 million Americans will have arthritis. By participating in the Arthritis Walk and joining the Let’s Move Together movement, supporters help raise funds to find a cure for arthritis, while also committing to move daily to prevent or treat arthritis.
