Star 104.5

Get to Know Glennboy

Born in Saskatchewan, and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, I have an amazing resistance to cold. The winter for me is like the fall for everybody else.

My father is a part time musician, and I press buttons that play music for Star 104.5. So you can see that the talent was passed down.

I've been married to my wife Angela for about 20 years. She is a Saint and I know this because people tell her that all of the time. We have three children who are each 3 years apart, and they are awesome!

My storied career in radio began in a small town in Manitoba, Canada. My wife has dual citizenship and I wanted to save $1 on paperback books so I came to the U.S.A. in 1990. Legally of course, but one wrong move and I get deported! Since moving to the states I have worked in Minneapolis, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.

Glo and I have a show that is "filled with fun and games, listner calls, comedy, Hollywood News with James St. James out of Hollywod, and lots of great music that easily make Glennboy and Glo the most 'plugged in' show in Omaha."

Hobbies: Playing guitar, working out at the gym, playing ball, watching hockey, spending time with the kids and constant renovating of the house. Not necessarily in that order!

Favorite place in Omaha: Durham Western Heritage Museum, and the Strategic Air and Space Museum is way cool.

Favorite Food: I eat very healthy but when I go down, it's beer, chips and salsa, or honey roasted peanuts.

Favorite sports: Hockey; I looooooovvvvve hockey, and luckily I got involved with the Omaha Aksarben Knights, and I also spend quite a bit of time with my son Alec who plays every weekend. We all like to watch hockey games whether it's in person or on TV.

I like to playing golf a lot. Although it's hard for many to watch I think for TV's sake it should become a contact sport :-). You'd have to hit the ball before you got hit like in football. Sure would be a lot more fun. Right in the middle of their back swing they get taken out! But if you have Brandon Jackson's speed you have an advantage.

Favorite thing to do with the kids: "I love to just hold them. The time will run out on that, and right now it feels so good. Especially my daughter with her being so small and cuddly with those soft cheeks. I really enjoy talking to them one on one. I am amused by their take on life and their naiveté. It's so sweet. We also love to play together. When there is snow, I'm the biggest kid on a sled going down the hill with them."
