KSRZ/Star 104.5 FM – Pick Your Purse OFFICIAL RULES
A copy of these rules will be available at Journal Broadcast Group, located at 5030 N. 72nd Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68134, between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Mondays through Fridays.
1. ENTRY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Sweepstakes begins March 31, 2008 and ends May 23, 2008 (“Sweepstakes Period”). Between April 2, 2008 and April 13, 2008, selected residents in the metropolitan Omaha area will receive telephone calls requesting their consent to be entered in the sweepstakes by agreeing to listen to Star 104.5 FM during certain times. Individuals who consent will receive a postcard confirming their entry and their agreement to the Official Rules. Individuals may also enter via online entry, by logging onto www.104star.com or via US mail by sending in a postcard that includes name, address, and home phone number. On-line entries are limited to one per unique valid email address. Contestants who accept to play through our personal targeted calling campaign will become members of the Star Mail club. Contestants entered through the calling campaign are not required to provide an email address to be considered eligible.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes is open to legal US residents of the Omaha Metro area as defined by Arbitron, Inc. and who are age 18 or older. Employees and former employees of Star 104.5 FM, Journal Broadcast Group, its affiliated radio stations, Direct Marketing Results, and their respective affiliated and subsidiary companies and members of the immediate families or households of such employees are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
3. WINNER SELECTION: During the Sweepstakes Period random selections will be made from among all entrants as of that day and three (3) names will be announced on-air. Entries not selected will be retained for subsequent drawings. Winning names will be announced at 9:00am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm. The person whose name is called will have one (1) hour and four (4) minutes to call 402-951-1045 to claim their prize, a designer handbag of their choice that contains a ticket to an Omaha-area concert or event. The contestant may only choose from purses on display and not already “picked” at that time. Once a purse is “picked” it will be removed from availability on the website and designated as “picked.” If the person whose name is announced does not call back within 1 hour and 4 minutes, the prize will be forfeited. The contest will resume again at the next playtime. Entries not selected will be retained for subsequent drawings. All prize claims are subject to verification of the claimant’s eligibility and compliance with the Official Rules.
4. PRIZES: Each verified winner will win a designer purse valued from $75 to $50 and a pair of tickets to an Omaha-area concert or event. Only one prize per person for the duration of the contest. Star 104.5 FM is not responsible for cancellation, date change, or any other changes with the Omaha-area concerts or events that a person may win tickets to. Star 104.5 FM is not responsible for replacing tickets if winner is unable to use them, loses them, or damages them.
5. PRIZE AWARD: All prize claims are subject to verification of the claimant's identification as the actual person named on the selected entry, eligibility, and compliance with these contest rules. Star 104.5 FM will verify the actual intended winner by checking appropriate personal identification such as drivers license, passport or other state or federal identification. Obtaining the verification information of the correct winner will initially be conducted by telephone by verifying their name, address, telephone number and/or email address. After an authorized employee of Star 104.5 FM declares the participant a winner, the winner must pick up his or her prize within 14 days at the offices of Star 104.5 FM during normal business hours. Winners may be required to sign a "Winner Release" and/or a Winner's Receipt that they must complete in order to receive the prize. No one may pick up the prize other than the winner unless proof of handicap or hardship is approved by Star 104.5 FM management. Winners are responsible for all taxes on a prize and for any expenses not specified related to their participation in the sweepstakes and the acceptance and use of a prize.
6. GENERAL: By participating, entrants agree (a) to the Official Rules and to the decisions of the judges, the sponsor and it agents, which decisions shall be final in all matters relating to this sweepstakes; (b) if their name is selected as a winner, to the announcement on-air of their name and, if it is determined by sponsor to confirm their winning in-person, to having such confirmation taped, filmed and recorded for use on air or in any other media; and (c) to release, discharge and hold harmless Star 104.5 FM, Journal Broadcast Group. and Direct Marketing Results, their subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective directors and employees from any liability, claims, losses, damages and injuries arising directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from their participation in the sweepstakes and the acceptance and use of a prize; and (d) that Star 104.5 FM and Direct Marketing Results, their subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective directors and employees are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, malfunction, defect or delay of any kind in telephone calls, radio transmissions or on-line or internet submissions or for the failure of Star 104.5 FM to receive telephone calls for any reason or for any computer or software malfunction of any kind affecting the proper execution of this sweepstakes or for late, lost, illegible or damaged mail or entries. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or terminate the sweepstakes in its entirety or partially should it become technically corrupted for any reason or because of non-authorized human intervention.
7. REMOVAL FROM LIST: An individual may request that the promoter refrain from sending that individual any other sweepstakes or contest related mailings. To do so, they can contact the promoter via phone at (402) 951-1045, or via mail at KSRZ/Star 104.5 FM, 5030 N. 72nd Street, Omaha, NE 68134. An individual can also reverse the removal request by submitting a written request to receive such promotions to the above address.
